Sarah was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she went on to graduate from Louisiana State University. She came to Shreveport in 2009 to attend the Physician Assistant program at LSUHSC. She completed her degree as a Physician Assistant from LSUHSC School of Allied health in 2011. In 2019, she joined the Highland Clinic Orthopaedic Group to work in tandem with Dr. Craig Springmeyer. Sarah has enjoyed being involved in patient care in every aspect, seeing patients in clinic and aiding as first assist in surgery. Over the past twelve years as a Physician Assistant, Sarah has cherished her relationships made through patient care among multiple specialties including Plastic Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Orthopaedic surgery.
When Sarah is not treating her patients she loves spending time with her husband, Blake, and their two children. The Youngs love skiing, playing soccer, and living a very active lifestyle. Sarah still enjoys going home to Baton Rouge, especially to attend LSU football games.
