Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes the diagnosis, surgical and related treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects of the hard and soft tissues of the mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and neck. 

Conditions that are treated include wisdom teeth, misaligned jaws, dental implants, and excision of tumors and cysts of the mouth.
