David Cooksey, M.D., has been practicing Dermatology in Shreveport since 1978 after serving as interim Chief of the Department of Dermatology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He became Board certified in Dermatology in November of 1977.
Dr. Cooksey joined Highland Clinic in 1991. In addition to his Dermatology practice, he has worked as a volunteer clinical instructor at Louisiana State University Medical Center helping to train Dermatology Residents and giving lectures in Dermatology to medical students. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the Louisiana Dermatology Association, the Louisiana State Medical Association, and the Shreveport Medical Society.
Specialized Training: Treatment of skin cancer, lasers in treatment of vascular lesions, tattoos, and hair removal. Also offering Botox and Restylane injections and sclerotherapy for unsightly leg veins.
