Dr. Springmeyer began his practice in orthopaedic surgery in Shreveport in 1984. He joined the Highland Clinic Orthopaedic Department in 1993. Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he also holds membership in American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American College of Sports Medicine.
He maintains an active general orthopaedic practice. The special interest he has in sports medicine is evident in his participation with many of the area schools as a Team Physician. Dr. Springmeyer and his partners devote many hours to these teams as medical advisor both during a game and to the coaches and trainers in the management of the players' physical health.
Patient visits are by appointment. Most insurance plans are accepted. Some insurance plans require a referral and should be obtained before a visit is scheduled.
