Dr. Houtz has joined the Highland Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine located at Highland Clinic. During his sports medicine fellowship, he served as an assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo and Rice University athletics. Dr. Houtz has specialty training in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder and treatment of sports injuries in athletes of all ages. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
He began seeing patients in August 2011. Visits are by appointment only.
