His medical practice includes nonsurgical and surgical treatment of disorders of the spine, i.e. neck and back problems. Least invasive surgical techniques are his special interest. Most of the surgery he performs involves the use of an operating microscope. This means that the patient will likely go home the same day as their surgery or spend only one night in the hospital. These techniques result in a more rapid recovery and return to the patient’s job and normal lifestyle.
Dr. Goodman has a physician assistant, Alexis Green P.A., that works closely with him seeing patients and assisting in surgery. Alexis is a certified surgical physician assistant who received her training at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
He accepts all current insurance plans now available in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas.
He is married to Sylvia, his loving wife of over forty years. They have three grown children, Lisa, Gary and Jeffrey and three grandchildren.
